Judaculla Rock, North Carolina USA

An outcropping of soapstone in Jackson County, North Carolina known for its intense concentration of petroglyphs. The outcrop is part of a prehistoric soapstone quarry. The carvings are said to be associated with the Cherokee story of Judaculla (Tuli-cula/Juthcullah/Tsulʻkalu). The site is owned and maintained by Jackson County.
