An anthropomorphic figure and a spiral petroglyph engraved on a sandstone rock on Tempi’po’op Trail in Washington County, Utah.

Labeled as Anasazi Trail – a name that has long fallen to the wayside – Tempi’po’op Trail offers excellent hiking and a fine series of Ancestral Puebloan petroglyphs. The area was used extensively by Ancestral Puebloan people as well as the historic Paiute. The trail climbs steeply from the parking lot and follows a ridge overlooking the Santa Clara River.
