Updates to our public sites list

Dinwoody Petroglyphs

We have added two new stops to our International Public Ancient Art sites list.

Legend Rock Wyoming (image above) is one of the best places to see Dinwoody Style petroglyphs. This highly enigmatic style is known from only a few places in Wyoming. There is interpretation at the site.

McConkie Ranch petroglyphs
Fremont petroglyphs at McConkie Ranch in Uinta County Utah. This panel shows large scale anthropomorphic figures with necklaces and earrings. One of the figures seems to hold a severed human head.

McConkie Ranch is best known for its well-preserved Fremont petroglyphs. The site is on private land but open to the public. We encourage visitors to donate at the parking area. Your contributions help keep this remarkable place open to the public.
